In addition to our normal nightly and weekly professional janitorial cleanings, Winterset Montessori has a once-weekly hospital-grade disinfectant applied to walls, doorknobs, handles, fixtures, floors, and rugs to assist in the combat against the spread of Covid-19, as well as other diseases.  We take everyone’s temperature as they enter our school (both parents and children) and parents are not allowed inside any classroom over age 12 months.  Parents hand off their child to their teacher at the classroom door. Parents of children under age 12 months are allowed just inside the classroom door to hand their infant to his/her caregiver.  No shoes are allowed inside infant rooms.  Infant carriers are stored outside the classroom.  Parents picking up infants are asked to wash their hands immediately prior to picking up their child.  All adults and children over the age of 10 years are required to wear a mask at all times while inside our facility.  We strictly follow Center for Disease Control guidelines for child care facilities.  Those guidelines require all staff to wear a mask, while children under age 10 are not to wear masks.
