Important announcement:
Happy Holidays!
As the New Year approaches please remember that childen get tired just as adults. Going from one holiday function to another, children get exhausted and cranky. Be patient and go at their pace. If they are already tired do not try a new or additional activity. Thank you to all the children and parents for their special rememberances and gifts to the staff during the Holidays.
Thank you,
Lavonna Peterson, Executive Director
The philosophy of Lavonna Peterson Early Childhood Schools is based on that of Maria Montessori as she developed her Children's
Houses; placing emphasis on what she referred to as the "triad":
the individual child, the prepared environment, and the teacher
as the observer and a director. Read more about Montessori philosophy
