Important announcement:
Summer is near and the children will start spending more time outside - at least thirty minutes in the morning and thirty minutes in the afternoon. Tennis shoes are best for outdoor play. If your child prefers to wear flip flops or dress shoes to school, please be sure to have a pair of play shoes or tennis shoes on hand at school for outdoor play. This helps lessen the chances of slips and falls. Thank you for your help!
The philosophy of Lavonna Peterson Early Childhood Schools is based on that of Maria Montessori as she developed her Children's
Houses; placing emphasis on what she referred to as the "triad":
the individual child, the prepared environment, and the teacher
as the observer and a director. Read more about Montessori philosophy
